Gal.6:7 "Do not be deceived (stop being deceived): God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. . .
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."
2 Cor. 9 "The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. . ."
The sun has almost come out today. Almost. All four boys have gone to lunch with Robert - to take out the men who work for him for Christmas. I am going grocery shopping with my four girls. Three very calm ones, and one that is an enthusiast.
The enemy has wanted to attack with many discouragements this month. I have not always been cheerful over the testing of my faith - but because of Christ, enduring. Through Him, I refuse to give up or to give into the onslaught of all that has come - and today I refuse to give into discouragement. That is a choice, it is a battle, and I must be willing and determined to fight.
For He who is in me is greater. He is loving and gentle, yet powerful and strong.
Lovingly He comforts. Lovely He guides. Lovingly He gives me strength that is beyond anything I could muster up.
The gospel applied to life is simply trusting in Him - a Father who is perfect and righteous, yet in His outpouring of His love, sent His Son for me, the imperfect.
