To be led of the Lord, to be taught of the Lord, there must first be a heart of humility. If humility is not there, He will not lead, He will not teach me.

Lord, give me humility today as I am with my children. I want to be led, I need to be led by You. Teach me. Patience comes from a humble heart. Calmness comes from a humble heart of trusting You in all things. Come Holy Spirit and fill me so that I can pour out Your love on these children you have entrusted to me.

Keep my eyes on You, Father, and do not let me get intoxicated with worries or things that do not matter.

I hold onto YOU, tight.

I'm glad you turned your comments back on. I know you aren't posting for the praise of men/women, or wanting an argument or attacks . . . but sometimes it's really nice to be able to tell you what your posts and photos have stirred in my heart. I know we don't know each other, but I like to think that if we meet, something in our souls would connect since your posts so often resonate with me.

Just wanted to say your posts have been so dead on lately. The Holy Spirit as used them several times to bless me. Just when I think, "How am I gonna figure this out?" I will see your post, and be like no WAY! I am so thankful everytime. I am a process person, and so sometimes it takes me awhile to process through what I am thinking or going through. So often your words have been the process that I have not yet arrived at and it pegs it for me, and helps me to understand God better in the topic at the table. I love how God uses people to help me process. Just thankful for you, and that admist your busy scedule and kiddos you take the time to share what God is doing in you. Your last post on perfection and shame and children...so so good.

I almost never comment, but I've been reading your blog for several years. I just wanted to tell you that I think you are an amazing family, so, so inspiring to me. I think you are raising some seriously amazing kids! Every time I read a post, I am inspired to do more with my kids, get even more involved, let them get dirty (hard for me!), etc. Thanks for sharing all that you do.

I just wanted to say thank you for this post, it is so helpful. I read your post about the hair as well - and I have SOOOO had the same types of things happen to me - one time I (naturally blonde) asked for some warm lowlights and ended up with black hair with white streaks. It does fade and grow out and you might think about contacting your cousin to ask if anything can be done? As an aside, just looking at the 'after' picture - I really think it looks pretty actually!

Thanks for sharing your heart and these words, they help me more than you know!
